Our Story

Our story began as a hobby to source and roast specialty coffee and introduce it to friends and family. That choice has grown our small hobby into something bigger. As we begin this new phase we wanted to share some of our philosophy as to our why.

Sourcing: Most coffee is sourced from large scale producers that don’t focus on quality and the story behind the coffee being purchased is lost. We wanted to be part of the movement in coffee to source top quality coffee; offering coffees that are small batch where the transactions between exporter and farmer are direct and their dedication and legacy is carried forward.

Sustainability: Large scale coffee production can lead to over production, poor return on investment for farmers, and sometimes devastating environmental impacts to small regions. We at CRCR focus on lots referred to as “Microlots”, these lots are sourced by us with focus on Sustainability, Traceability, and Quality being paramount to us. Sourcing Microlots allows us to bring new and unique coffees to our customers while being part of a sustainable ecosystem where the farmers are provided with a better return for their crops thanks to their attention and dedication to quality.

Roasting: We believe top quality coffee presents better roasted anywhere between light and medium roasting levels. By roasting to these levels, we strive to preserve the characteristics that are unique to the varietal of the bean, processing method, and terroir. These characteristics contribute to each coffees unique flavor profile. Our roasting profile approaches strive to bring the best out of each offering while attempting to pay homage to the hard work each small producer dedicates to their crops.  We at CRCR want to be part of your morning ritual and help people discover the true flavors of coffee as each one is a unique experience provided by dedicated farmers.

We hope to bring enthusiasm into your morning or daily routine by providing coffee that is exceptional as well as coffee that can stand on its own and be drank without any additives.
